HIIII! Good morning! It's here! It's here! I couldn't be more excited to share some of my favorites from the #NSale's Early Access selection. I'm definitely buying the blue Everly dress, the Topshop faux fur vest, and this Chloe bag [definitely debated between that and this similar Tory Burch bag]... among a few other things that you'll be seeing me style in the next week! I'm a little behind on my 6:00AM timeline, but there were just so many good options to choose to highlight ... it all took a little longer than I realized. If you are dying to shop this sale, but still don't have a card, apply HERE. Doesn't take long! All of your spending dollars add up to earn you money back on future purchases, too! Added perk. Also, as always with Nordstrom, you'll enjoy FREE shipping & FREE retuns! Basically the best retailer there is!
HEAD'S UP!!!!! I also am whipping up a fun little giveaway for y'all so BE SURE to check back later today to enter! It'll be going on for a few days so you'll have plenty of time but, just a head's up! ;) And, one more thing .... I've got a little surprise for y'all today. I started saying "thanks for stopping by" at the end of every post a couple months ago because I GENUINELY am thankful that you take the time to see what I have going on around here. It actually blows my mind. Thank you for allowing me to be a creator and inadvertent stylist for a living. As a thank you, I am giving away 10 $100 gift cards to Nordstrom to make shopping this sale even more enjoyable. I don't do giveaway's very often, but I feel like it's important to do every so often as a way of giving back to y'all. You can enter for your chance to win in the widget below. You have until Monday at 11:59pm. Winners will be announced TUESDAY in my blogpost & on my Instagram. Make sure you read the fine print ... you have to email me if you win!
Hi ladies! I shot this look when I was in Texas a couple weeks ago and, goodness gracious, it's so hard to dress for summer when everywhere you tend to work is FREEZING. This short sleeve sweater was my happy medium on this day, and it worked perfectly. I love how loose and long it is, practically begged me for a pretty, long necklace to pair with it. My friend, Danica, made me the one I'm sporting. She is quite the jewelry designer based in Nashville. Be sure to check out her company Doxahlogy!
Whatcha got goin' on this weekend? I'm heading to Georgia tonight for an overnight church retreat. I don't anyone going, which makes me a little nervous but ... we can't let our fear win, right? The rest of the weekend will hopefully be spent de-cluttering my home and closet. I'll keep you posted on where you can get a peek at those listings on my Instagram.
If you're a Nordstrom card holder and haven't shopped the sale yet, there are still tons of styles with all sizes available! I've highlighted a few more of my favorites from the sale - [you can see my initial round-up here] - and I'll do that everyday to keep y'all up-to-date on my newest drool-worthy finds. Also, don't forget to enter for a chance to win one of TEN $100 Nordstrom gift cards! Thank you for stopping by today, beauties! Have an amazing FRI-YAYY! xo.
Frye'Heidi Fringe Hobo Bag: THIS. BAG. Y'ALL. Might be one of my favorite purchases from the sale. I honestly wasn't a fan of the Tory Burch bags that were included in the #NSale [no offense if you got one; just my personal opinion], so after perusing the other options, I was instantly drawn to this one. Frye is a company that screams quality. They don't put out anything that won't last you a few years. Their pieces are investments, but worth every penny. At around 33% off, you are getting such a good deal on an amazing bag for Fall. Get it, girls! xo.
AG'The Stilt' Cigarette Leg Jeans: I love these jeans. They're super soft and comfortable, run true to size. Highly recommend them!
Kendra ScottRayne Necklace in Gunmetal / Turquoise: I fell in love with this hardware / stone combination when I saw it in the #Nsale catalog. It was circled. I had to have it. Since I wear a lot of darker tones and colors [bordeaux, olive, grey, burgundy, black, etc] in the Fall / Winter, this necklace would be a pretty compliment to those darker tones. Pops of bright color is always fun, no matter what month it is :)
Louise et CieLeopard Print Ankle Strap Flats: I stopped by my local Nordstrom the other day and snagged these beauties. They remind me a lot of my old Steve Madden leopard flats that I was OB.SESSED with for so long. Leopard is the best way to add an interesting, sometimes unexpected, twist to an outfit. These are very comfortable and I think the ankle strap is an adorable touch to this edgy flat. [But, if the ankle strap isn't your thing, here is a great option for you.]
Lush'Perfect' Roll Tab Sleeve Tunic: Tunics are a must for me in the Fall. Cold weather, honestly, makes me super lazy in the 'getting ready' department, and an easy tunic / legging / boot combo is always my go-to. This is a Fall staple that you need to stock up on now while the prices are so good!
BP.Washed Chambray Shirt: This is the softest chambray shirt I own. I can't stand button-up's that are stiff and thin. This one is neither. I needed a white one and felt like a $32 price tag was the perfect reason to pull the trigger.
Street Level Vegan Leather Pocket Tote: Okay, y'all. Confession. I already have the reversible one of these, but when I saw that an ALL cognac version was included in the #Nsale ... I impulsively bought it ... and the black one. *covers eyes* These totes amaze me, though!!! They're not real leather but it's a pretty legit faux, and they fit a lot of stuff and go with everything ... and less than $32! Triple win.
NARSLip Pencil Set: I'm always looking for new lip colors. I have been in a 'nude' lip color mood lately, but the light pink / lavender color in this lip pencil set has me swooning and, thus, changing my ways.

Below I'm going to round-up some Fall staples from the #Nsale that you'll need to grab now while the prices are so good. I know it seems crazy to shop for Fall when some of us were trying desperately to stay hydrated and cool in 100 degree heat this weekend but, I PROMISE, you will thank me in November. Every year [in November], I have girls asking me where they can get faux leather leggings and faux fur vests, and I feel bad because I can only recommend what's out and what's out at that time is LEFTOVERS [i.e. not so cute ones]. So, seriously ... buy now. The #NSale opens to everyone on Friday. If you've been waiting ... there will probably be new stuff for y'all to choose from along with what's left from these 'early access' items.
The first three are my personal favorites.
I bought these in the Chocolate Leather color. Pics to come in tomorrow's post. Love them!
I got this plaid popover. I still have to try it on and see how I like it on, but will give you a full review in tomorrow's post.
I bought this one. Material is legit, super warm. I also snagged this plaid cape. So cute!
Okay, the Denali jacket [black zip-up; fourth item linked before you scroll] is a classic for Fall / Winter. It does run big. The Osito jacket, however, is my absolute favorite. I wore it all the time when I lived in Colorado. You can layer a heavier outerwear piece over it, as well. And, I'm seriously drooling over that blue wrap coat. Reviews say it runs small, so I may pull the trigger. What do you think?
Today's the last day to enter for your chance to win a $100 gift card to Nordstrom! There will be TEN winners announced in tomorrow's blogpost. Thanks for stopping by, y'all! xo.
BP.Plaid Shirt: So, this was a major hit during Early Access. There's only a couple sizes left. I linked a couple similar plaid's in the widget above. I like mine a little big, so I'm in a Medium here. Quality is alright, not amazing but for the price I can deal .... I think I like the colors the most, though.
These are the shorts I'm wearing, but here is an identical pair for way less! Neither are included in the sale, but definitely good for the summer months. Will last you a couple years. Gotta remember ... denim is an investment.
Lip Color:'Biscayne park' from NARSLip Pencil Set. Sold individually here.
Wildfox 'If At First You Don't Succeed' Sweatshirt: I love Wildfox sweatshirts so I had to take advantage of getting one at a discounted price, because they're not cheap. They're so comfy, and I always love how sarcastic and funny they are. I got an XXS. Make sure you size down.
Sultra 'The Bombshell' 1-inch Curling Wand: Truth be told right here .... this is the holy grail of curling wands. It's what I've been using for a little over a year and I could not be more impressed. It gets hot quick and makes either tight, beauty queen curls or loose, beach waves easy to achieve in less than 10 minutes!
Lip Color: 'Stourhead' from NARSLip Pencil Set. Not sold individually.
NARSLip Pencil Set: I'm always looking for new lip colors. I have been in a 'nude' lip color mood lately, but the light pink / lavender color in this lip pencil set has me swooning and, thus, changing my ways.
Since I wear a lot of darker tones and colors [bordeaux, olive, grey, burgundy, black, etc] in the Fall / Winter, this necklace would be a pretty compliment to those darker tones. Pops of bright color is always fun, no matter what month it is :)
Sonya ReneeDrusy Stud Earrings: I used to have the Kendra Scott Macy Earrings that were super similar to these but somehow misplaced them, and have been looking for a pair that could compare. When I saw these on Nordstrom's website, I got really excited! They look so similar and are precious in person. My only critique is that they're a little smaller than I would ideally prefer, but they'll do for now :)
True story: I'm wearing this exact outfit right now as I put this post together. The plaid scarf is lightweight but still really, really warm. Can't believe it's only $15.90!
BP.Trott Bootie in Chocolate Leather: So, I tried on multiple booties in the store that are included in the sale and, honestly, am surprised to say I felt like these were the most comfortable. Not to mention, the style is "THE" style most gals want for booties. So, you get everything you want with these. The taupe sold out pretty fast, but this chocolate color is super cute. It doesn't really look like chocolate but I like it. I am on the hunt for a purse that matches.
Lip Color: 'Stourhead' from NARSLip Pencil Set. Not sold individually.
MAC 'Look In A Box' Basic Brush Kit: I love the quality of all the brushes included, but hate how small they are. Just being real. Haven't decided if I'm going to keep. BaublebarStatement Necklace & Ear Jacket Gift Set: So, I've been obsessed with this necklace since the holidays, but I'm gonna be honest ... I'm not a HUGE fan of the earrings [I wore them in some of the photos in this post]. They're a lot of work just to keep them straight and normal looking, and I don't know ... just not really sure if I'm 'sold' on them. Email me if you're interested in buying the earrings because I really want to keep the necklace. AG'The Stilt' Cigarette Leg Jeans: I love these jeans. They're super soft and comfortable, run true to size. Highly recommend them!
This plaid poncho sold out fast but there are quite a few others that are super cute and still in stock! [see above]
Lip Color: 'Stourhead' from NARSLip Pencil Set. Not sold individually.
Lush 'Karly' Shift Dress: I. LOVE. THIS DRESS. It's one of my favorite colors to wear in the Fall and it's the perfect shape and size. Runs true to size. Comes in multiple colors. Only $31.90!
TopshopUtility Drawstring Dress: Sometimes I'm drawn to military inspired garments, this being one of them. I really like the way it fits and the style, but I just don't know if I'm completely sold on the color. Runs true to size.
Lip Color:'Sex Machine' from NARSLip Pencil Set. Sold individually here.
LushHigh Neck Swing Dress: How cute is this dress? I know I've been talking about Fall a lot but the #NSale is lovin' on us summer lover's, too! Hurry! This dress is selling out and only $29.90!
AG'The Stilt' Cigarette Leg Jeans: I love these jeans. They're super soft and comfortable, run true to size. Highly recommend them!
Louise et CieLeopard Print Ankle Strap Flats: I stopped by my local Nordstrom the other day and snagged these beauties. A 'thank you' doesn't seem like enough, but I do appreciate your support and love of Sequins & Things and my Instagram. I may be surprising y'all soon with another giveaway so stay tuned! ;)
WINNERS: Email me {haley.shepherd@gmail.com} within 24 hours with your address to claim prize. Must email me from the email address used to enter.
Hey y'all! Finally back with an outfit post. Miguel and I's shoots have gotten rained out a lot lately, and we finally were able to get a couple done yesterday afternoon.
So, I have about 4 or 5 chambray tops [all oversized] and I pretty much live in those in the Fall and Winter. I wear them over leggings to work around the house, to run errands, eat dinner with family. An oversized button-up, for me, is a wardrobe staple. I was looking at this $32 one that's included in the #NSale and figured I didn't need another one but that I would grab a white one instead. It's perfect for layering a plaid cape over or blanket scarf and utility jacket[also here] when it gets colder. Now is the best time to buy for Fall. Sounds crazy but, again, pretty sure you'll thank me later when you have these items and it's 50 degrees out!
Be sure to check and see if you won the giveaway here. Make it a great Hump Day, y'all! Thanks for stopping by! xo.
P.S. I'm buying this Tory Burch Tote in the new French Gray color [also love the bright blue] to match these booties I got from the #NSale in the Chocolate Leather color. Finally found a purse that matches!! :)

Haley

Are you excited?? Tomorrow is the big day for anyone who has been waiting oh-so-patiently [okay, maybe really impatiently] for the #NSale to open up to everyone! I have noticed some new items being added and, honestly, they keep getting better and better!
Wanna know what I bought from the #NSale? Find out HERE!
The best thing about this sale is that you can get such great deals on Fall / Winter items that are just a PAIN to buy at full price. For Example: I am going to Colorado for Christmas this year, and already stocked up on some cold weather staples like cozy / fuzzy pullover in Moonlight Ivory, this vest [with zip-in capability] in the Kokomo Green color, this cowl neck sweater in multiple colors -- ONLY $27!!!! I repeat. ONLY $27!!! -- also comes in black, and I finally snagged the faux fur vest by Topshop. I think I came out a winner ... oh but don't forget these basic 'live in' leggings and these HOT faux leather leggings[another on sale option]. You're welcome. NOW ... you're all set. Stay tuned for my next roundup & review of #NSale purchases coming in the next few days! :)
Have a great day, y'all! Thanks for stopping by! xo.
P.S. I haven't forgotten about the three remaining gift cards. Stay tuned to my IG. ;)
P.P.S. I started a new Instagram store for you to shop my closet. Follow it here and PLEASE buy my gently [very very gently] used shoes, bags, clothes, accessories, etc.
WARNING: Fish will never be for sale. ;)

It's finally here, for everyone! This is such a great sale and so many of the staple / best items are still available. These booties in taupe were restocked, but hurry ... they will sell out. This $27 tunic is still in stock ... I just grabbed it in the sphinx and black colors yesterday. I am so excited about this cowl neck sweater. It's only $27 and WILL sell out. I promise. You should act fast on that one. I got it in the Mocha color & Cream.
FIRST ROW: I just bought the fringe heels. They're so sassy. I love them! The faux fur vest is all around perfection. I am getting it today and will update this later on how it fits. SECOND ROW: Last year, I think I proved to y'all how necessary an orange coat is [see here& here & here&here], so here is a great one. I have these 'live in' leggings from last year, and everything else on this row is affordable and necessary. I have and love them all. THIRD ROW: I got the cowl neck sweater in a couple of colors and I know it's gonna sell out, so act fast! That utility jacket is on point. Definitely a great option to get if you don't already have one. You'll be surprised how much you wear and how much it goes with in the Fall / Winter. FOURTH ROW: I. LOVE. EEEVERYTHINGG. ON THIS ROW! The boots are so insane. Get them! Such a good deal. FIFTH ROW: I use Purity with my Clarisonic to wash my face. The three middle items are great. The plaid popover runs a little big. The leopard print flats run true to size, comfortable. I adore the ankle strap. I've been wearing the cognac tote everyday, as y'all have probably noticed ... so clearly I hate it. ;)
GOOD FINDS UNDER $50: Also ... yesterday, I snagged this leopard print scarf and this floppy hat in two colors. They're not a part of the sale but I thought they were great staple pieces for a good price.
Happy Shopping, ladies!! Thanks for stopping by! xo.
Hey y'all! When I'm looking for casual pieces at affordable prices, Chicwish is always a great place to venture over to. I snagged this oversized button-up for only $38. I've been waiting to wear this adorable eyelet off-the-shoulder top for the right occasion. And, you might be seeing this precious [and oversized, again] light pink blouse tomorrow. I like it because I personally would style it with ripped up jeans or shorts, but you could totally wear it with a pencil skirt for work, too. Versatility is my fave!
Hope y'all have something fun planned for this weekend! I'm, honestly, just enjoying lounging in my bed right now but will definitely be putting together a review of my latest #NSale haul [see my first haul HERE; you NEED this cowl neck sweater ... it's selling out fast and I don't want you to miss it!!! I have it in cream and mocha]. I may even get super adventurous and film a video .... maybe.
Ha, enjoy your Saturday beauties! Thanks for stopping by!
ALSO ... Don't forget to enter to win one of the THREE $100 Nordstrom gift cards. Find out how to enter HERE.

Hey beauties! Wanted to throw up this post today because, with the #NSale being so popular, I was afraid many of the items would be sold out if I waited and posted it on a weekday. This is a great, classic shift dress for Fall. I, personally, would throw a faux fur vest over it. I just got the Topshop one included in the #NSale and, y'all, SO worth the sale price of $89! It's super soft, a great faux fur and fits well. AND HAS POCKETS. And you'll have it for years. Back to the dress ... I love the wine color. Also comes in a blue and red. It's lightweight and lined. I really like it!
I'm gonna be putting together another #NSale haul review. I got a bunch of other things for my Fall / Winter wardrobe and can't wait to share my finds with you! Alright, I gotta get myself up and ready for church! Enjoy your Sunday, friends!
xo.

What a cute and comfortable dress! It's not exactly sweater material, but it's thicker than you'd expect a normal shirt dress to be, so you don't have to worry about it being see-through. It pairs perfectly with the vest, and would be cute with a utility jacket over it, as well.
Okay, so I was almost certain that this vest would sell out during Early Access but, to my surprise, it's still mostly in stock. My only guess is that it's because they anticipated there would be a large demand, so their supply was ridiculous. I say that because the quality of this vest is impeccable. I can't imagine a lot of people returned it after buying it. The faux fur color is beautiful and the faux fur material is soft and cozy. It has pockets and an amazing 'right on' fit. I highly recommend this. It's a little pricier than most items but ... it'll last you quite a few Fall / Winter seasons. You gotta think about that! ;)
Wearing Size 2 (US 0)
BP.Trott Bootie in Chocolate Leather So, I tried on multiple booties in the store that are included in the sale and, honestly, am surprised to say I felt like these were the most comfortable. Not to mention, the style is "THE" style most gals want for booties. So, you get everything you want with these. The taupe sold out pretty fast, but this chocolate color is super cute. It doesn't really look like chocolate but I like it. I was on the hunt for a purse that matches, and found this adorable Michael Kors satchel that I think would work well. Wearing my normal size: 6.5
I'd wear this with leggings and over the knee boots everyday in the Fall if I could. It's SO. PERFECT. And the price .... I mean, you can't pass it up. It's selling out fast. Hurry!
If you live in a super cold climate during the Fall / Winter months, I can imagine you stock up on the quality cold weather product brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Columbia, etc. Even though I live in Florida, I always end up in Colorado for a good bit of time to make stocking up on some new items worth it. I always love The North Face s fuzzy jackets and pullover's, and I've been waiting for something to come out in this color again. I used to have a zip-up in this color and my ex-boyfriend's dog chewed off the zipper, lol. Anyway ... The sizing they have listed on the website is a little off. I'm wearing an XS in both products and they fit me perfectly, but I am typically categorized as 00. So, be aware of that when you're buying. The vest comes in some other fun colors, as well. Wearing XS in both.
Lush'Perfect' Roll Tab Sleeve Tunic, only $27.90 Tunics are a must for me in the Fall. Cold weather, honestly, makes me super lazy in the 'getting ready' department, and an easy tunic / legging / boot combo is always my go-to. This is a Fall staple that you need to stock up on now while the prices are so good! Wearing XS. Joe's JeansCurvy Skinny Jeans, only $119.90 These jeans fit me so well. I've had a lot of issues finding good jeans lately. I'm always looking for good pairs and these are great. I need to take them to my tailor to have them shortened but, other than that, I highly recommend them. Haven't had any issues with the dark dye bleeding on lighter material. I also haven't washed them yet, but I'm super crazy about washing dark jeans with dark, old t-shirts so if the dye does bleed it doesn't matter. Wearing size 23.
HalogenRelaxed Slub U-Neck Tee, only $15.90 This top is amazing. It's light weight and comfortable. Comes in a million colors. I'm wearing the gray and white stripe one. Wearing XS.
BP.Long Textured Open Cardigan, only $31.90 I'm ALWAYS cold when I'm indoors. Always. Long cardigans are my 'go-to' when leaving the house because they're easy to get on and off, and are usually just what I need to be comfortable. These are great in the Fall, too! Wearing XS.
HalogenCashmere Turtleneck Sweater, only $89.90 Can't beat cashmere, especially when it's on sale. It's not cheap but when you're going out into the cold you're going to be so happy you decided to pull the trigger anyway. I love this pretty blush color. Wearing XS.
NordstromFloppy Wool Hat in Light Tan [also have it in Heather Gray], only $38.00 This hat isn't included in the sale but thought it was a great accessory to stock up on now, before it's "all the rage" and everyone is trying to get their hands on one. It's always a good idea to stay a little ahead of the next season's "must have" items. One size.
Faux Fur Vest on sale HERE. Dark Denim Skinnies on sale HERE. Reviewed above.
HingeCheck Cotton Shirt, only $49.90 Not to best deal, but I just really liked the colors in this plaid print. Overall, very comfortable. Not many sizes left. Wearing XS.
Fish isn't on sale or available to be bought ... but how cute is he?? He's pouting in all these pics because I made the bed and he was REALLY wanting to cuddle in it hahah ;)
Street Level Vegan Leather Pocket Tote, only $31.90 This tote is amazing. It's not real leather but it's a pretty legit faux, and it fits a lot of stuff and will go with a lot in the Fall / Winter months ... and the price! I mean ... it's just too good! White Denim is here. Not on sale.
BP.Stripe V-Neck Pullover, only $24.90 Sometimes these kinds of sweaters annoy me and this one is really no different. I don't like the band around the waist. I tried to get a bigger size to see if that would change my mind but to no avail .... I would advise going with the other two options I linked in the widget below the photo. I have this $15.90 option. It's super comfortable, and cute. I don't have this one [same price as the one I'm wearing] but think it's super super cute. Should've gone with that one instead of this one. Wearing Small. Wearing XS. Vince Camuto Leopard Print Scarf, only $38.00 [not on sale] This item is a part of the sale. I came across it at my local Nordstrom and thought it was too cute to pass up. I lost my favorite leopard scarf last year when I was visiting Colorado, and have been looking for a good replacement. I found it in this one. Highly recommend.
Steve Madden Fringe Heels, only $86.90 These will put some sass in your step! They are so cute on [see here] and easy to walk in. Can't beat that! Dancing may be another story ... Stay tuned ;) Also available in tan and red.
Okay. This is one of the only plaid tops that is this big of a steal and still in stock. I personally love both color options but opted for the navy blue because I feel like I always choose 'gray' WAY too much in the cold weather months. The material is comfortable. It doesn't feel like paper, like some cheap button-up's do.
Wearing XS.

Sorry for the delay in getting this post up. These always take WAY longer than I realize or expect it to take. I appreciate you stopping by and hope you're enjoying the sale! xo.

"Making mistakes is better than faking perfection."
Quick post today! Let me know if you have any questions about any of these looks. I'd be happy to weigh in and answer those!
Did anyone watch the Men Tell All last night? This season of The Bachelorette has been so good. I genuinely do feel bad for how people are treating Kaitlyn. It's so hurtful when people just throw their harsh judgement your way and, in my opinion, it's even sadder to witness the lack of love people are willing to freely give to others, even when they disagree with the choices they've made. What if we all just led with love instead of hate? I think we'd all be better, especially when we're the mistaker. I read this quote the other day and couldn't agree with it more: "Better to make mistakes than fake perfection."
Anyway ... I'm off on a little getaway today, and I am so excited! If you missed it, I reviewed my second haul of #NSale steals yesterday. The first haul was here. Be sure to check it out. I also announced who won the last three $100 Nordstrom gift cards! Woo!
Thanks for stopping by, beauties! xo.

"Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation."
The pink top is the direct link to the white shirt I'm wearing. It just wouldn't let me save the white version as the main product photo. It's less than $30!
I added a few accessories to this 'shop the look' widget so you have some ideas on how to complete the look.
You can never have too many white dresses in the summer! I love this babydoll one {only $42!}. I linked some other options for you, as well. All are under $50!
I can't link my sunnies because you can't buy them online. They're Celine, and I bought them at my local Nordstrom store.
Y'all loved when I wore this necklace in this post back in March. It sold out not long after but recently saw that Baublebar released a new, almost identical one [shop it here] so I wanted to make y'all aware! Speaking of Baublebar, I'm going to be working on a fun project with them so stay tuned! I'm so excited!
Just a head's up ... this dress runs a little big. I bought an XS {my usual size} and had to have it fitted down to fit me. I'm obsessed with this green color, and I always love a good shift dress!
Did anyone watch the Men Tell All earlier this week? [Sorry, I know it's almost Friday, ha. I'm a little behind!] What did y'all think? Who is the next Bachelor? Who do you think Kaitlyn picks? I'll weigh in on my thoughts tomorrow :)
Thanks for stopping by, pretties! Make it a great day! xo.

On the Bachelorette's Men Tell All on Monday, Chris Harrison and Kaitlyn touched on something that bloggers fall victim to at times: cyber bullying. I'd like to encourage you to read this article. I really, really enjoyed what Kaitlyn had to say about it. I know from experience, that it is EXTREMELY hurtful when people hurl their opinions out there about things that you have said, worn, or how you've dealt with something, etc. For that reason, I purposefully keep myself from seeking out opportunities to read negativity. It's not healthy at all. I have a very small circle of close friends and family, and those few people are the people who are allowed to speak constructive, life giving advice into my life. So, I just want to join Kaitlyn in encouraging you to think about what you say on social media. If you don't like someone ... if what they do or who they are annoys you to the point that it brings up insecurities within yourself and / or encourages you to be a less than respectable human being .... put some healthy boundaries up and be intentional about maintaining them. Unfollow them. Don't visit their site. Don't watch their show. Etc. We're not all meant to agree, but we are meant to love one another. And, sometimes ... the best kind of love you can give someone is to just leave them alone.
For the most part, I have the sweetest gals who come and visit my site so I want to thank you so much for that. I appreciate y'all so very much! I hope y'all have the best weekend, and if you have any questions about cyber-bullying or what I said above, I'd love to answer those.
Thanks for stopping by! xo.

Last week, y'all might know ... I was in Rosemary Beach, FL enjoying the area with my friend, Whitney. {She writes a travel + lifestyle blog called Blonde Atlas} Because I knew there was going to be so many beautiful images to share on my Instagram from the area aside from my usual daily outfit selfie, I decided to not overload y'all with too many things. Anyway ... I had the best time! From the accommodations, to the beautiful beach, to the amazing food ... I didn't want to leave!
I wore this colorful maxi dress on the second night out to dinner by the water. It might have been my favorite outfit of the trip. I'm wearing a 0P and it's a little big on me in the top, but since my tailor, Lilly, is out of the country right now, I just pinned the back straps together and it made all the difference. You might be able to see in one of the pics, Ha! {Gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes!} See product link for how they actually lay.
I shot with Ryan, a local photographer, from Pure 7 Studios ... and y'all. I was so impressed! He was so easy to work with and hilarious, had tons of different lenses to get the shot he or you needed / wanted ... and I'm very happy with all the photos. Very. If you're in the area, be sure to give them a call to book a session with them! Family or engagement sessions in that area are a dream. Seriously.
Anyway, tomorrow I'll be featuring the adorable city of Rosemary Beach, as well as the carriage house we stayed in! Y'all are going to die! If you'd like to get a move on booking the carriage house, you're welcome to go here!

Hello, beauties! Hope y'all had a nice weekend. I don't know about you ... but I'm already ready for the next one. I didn't get all my laundry done or everything cleaned up that I should've so I'm already feeling behind.
Anyway ... last Friday, on Snapchat, I asked y'all to let me know what kind of outfit inspiration you need. Summer? Fall? Business casual? It was definitely a mix of everything so I will do my best to cater to those things. This outfit can be seen as a mix of both. I grabbed this loose fitting top, perfect for beating the summer heat, last week for only $30! I love adding a pop of color to a very neutral outfit, and I haven't opted for hot pink in awhile. So, I figured it was time :) The Rayne Necklace is always a favorite of mine. It's just what an outfit needs to look complete sometimes. I linked a few booties [to get you ready for Fall] that are similar to the ones I'm wearing. As they start coming out, I'll be sure to feature them for ya!
I definitely tend to wear darker colors in the Fall, so I put together a style board that you can reference and shop below to find some Fall outfit inspiration.
Make it a great Monday, y'all! Thanks for stopping by! xo.
On my Instagram last night, I posted a style board consisting of mostly black and gray items that are all on sale. Some items would be great to wear now, like these strappy heels and cute sunnies, and others are great items to stock up on now and you'll definitely be happy later, like these leggings and over the knee boot socks for $5! This black faux fur vest is also worth mentioning :) Some people had some issues with Liketoknow.itnot working in some capacity, so I figured I would feature it on the blog for those of you who couldn't shop it last night. I had to make it bigger for the blog so I added a few other items. The only one I forgot to put on here, that was on my Instagram, is this gorgeous Movado watch. Things are selling out, even since putting this together yesterday afternoon ... so my apologies if some stuff isn't in stock.
A lot of this outfit is either super affordable or on sale [minus the bag ... I know, I know ... although I linked some more affordable options!]. My dark denim skinnies are by Joe's Jeans and, y'all ... they are so soft! I need to get the length taken up a little bit but I definitely recommend them, especially being that they're on sale right now! Price goes up next Monday, so don't wait! :)
So let me tell you about the little bralette that I'm wearing with this loose, knit tank ... because I love it. I usually wear a plain black or white tank top underneath most of my tops. I don't know why ... I just feel more comfortable. Well, it's so hot here right now that, when I saw these, I instantly put them in my shopping cart because, hello ... options! [I am such a sucker for options, which is why I barely ever make the less than 50 pound suitcase when I travel] I got them in the mail, and omg ... I wish I had found these earlier. They're such a great option for us gals who love to wear big, loose tops. I highly, highly recommend them.
How about the Bachelorette finale last night? Crazy, right!? I honestly thought she didn't choose anyone, but looks like I was wrong. Hopefully they work out. He seems like a great guy, and I'm happy for Kaitlyn -- although I do still wonder if there is any truth to that eskimo brother's comment, ha! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna get started on my Bachelor application so I can vie for Ben H.'s heart! #swoon

Keepin' it short and sweet today! Hope y'all are having a great week!
Be sure to take advantage of the last few days of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale [prices go up Monday, August 3rd!] and the BIG Baublebar blowout sale: 30% off site-wide with codeXMASINJULY! It really is like a Cyber Monday or Black Friday Sale ... get on it! All my faves are linked below!!
Pssst. I just bought that cute floral robe! Couldn't resist the print or the price tag! xo.

Hi loves! Happy Happy Friday!! This stripe top is a must-have to throw on for a quick Saturday morning errand ... and, you know me, I'll find an excuse to dress up anything that's considered casual so I naturally paired it with the fringe heels [last seen here!] I got last week. Both items are on sale, but only for a couple more days! Take advantage. I personally contemplated snagging the red option in the shoes ... but I need to pump the brakes a bit on my #Nsale spending. I took advantage of the sale prices quite a bit in building up my Fall wardrobe, so I think I'm personally done. I did round up a few more of my favorites. I DID snag that precious paisley house robe on the bottom right down there! :)

This fun gingham dress is perfect for a summer cookout, dinner party or Sunday church service! The top part is a little big on me, but the waist fits fine. Again, make sure you pay a little extra for expedited shipping from Chicwish because they ship from overseas.
Y'all might have noticed that I have been wearing the PERFECT SUMMER WEDGES almost everyday since I got them in the mail [Finally! Only took four months] because, well, I seriously LOVE them. They were a little uncomfortable the first day but, everyday since has been great. I highly recommend them. They come in 3 colors. Also, this tote is also my most recent jam. It's reversible and under $50, AND comes in multiple color combo's. I like the material. It doesn't look or feel cheap. Love that!
I got back from Dallas laaate, late last night, so not only did I missed the Bachelorette, but I've been severely missing my Fish man while I was gone. With that said, I'm excited to pick him up this morning, and kind of take a breather for a bit. From the moment I landed in Dallas, I was on the go. I am an introvert with extroverted tendencies, so I love seeing people and catching up but, after a while, I hit a wall and go silent for a while to re-energize. So, anyway, I'm REALLY excited to do that over the next few days.
I feel like I was on-the-go the entire month of June, and cannot even believe Saturday is the 4th of July already. Before we know it, we'll be ordering Pumpkin Spice Latte's at Starbucks. The older you get, the faster the years go. {I feel super old saying that. Ugh!} But anyway, I hope y'all are having a great start to your week, and that you know how much I appreciate you stopping by this little space of mine over here at Sequins & Things. I sure do love y'all! xo.
P.S. Big changes are coming to S&T soon, and I'd love your input. I've done tons of research on some new stuff coming y'alls way in terms of your experience here on the blog. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE if y'all would spill your guts {in a sweet, constructive way} and let me know what you like and don't like about my blog or style blogs in general, in terms of design?
Do you like a very simple blog design?
Do you want it to be easier for you to shop my Instagram looks?
Do you want a page that allows you to shop some of my favorite online retailers and recent buys?
Do you like opening a blog to see a fantastic, aesthetically pleasing scrolling banner? Or would you prefer less fluff?
I don't know. Just curious. Would love any feedback! Thanks so much, y'all! Have a great, great day! xo.
